Back on the Canalway Trail today. The weather has turned grumpy: this morning it started raining the minute I left the inn. It rained for two hours and remained mostly cloudy all day, with a cold wind lowering the temperature. But I made it to the outskirts of Syracuse & managed to find a patch of ground that wasn’t overgrown with poison ivy. If it doesn’t rain overnight, I’ll be happy.
Not much to say today, so I thought I’d post some pictures and videos (mostly) without comment.

It was an interesting day for wildlife encounters. I thought this snake might go after one of the fish swimming nearby, but more likely it was hunting frogs …
Sometimes you’ve just got to keep walking …
Saw this sign on the way into town to see about some lunch …

I don’t know about you, but it was difficult for me to visualize this canal packed with boats. The interpretive signs did make it a lot easier.

And finally, one more up close and personal wildlife encounter. Unless, of course, somebody comes a-visiting in the night …
