Day 26: Middleport to Lockport, NY

Definitely a tricky night, weather-wise. As this video shows, I didn’t quite trust my information on the likelihood of rain, so I made arrangements accordingly. In the end, it probably wasn’t necessary to move camp, but relying on my poncho to keep me dry was the right call – I only felt a few drops early in the evening, then nothing else the rest of the night.

Anyway, I’m glad I moved, because soon after I got a visit from this canal bunny — who decided to test my dangerosity by running a semi-circle around my camp:

Not much to say about the 13 miles into Lockport. Here are a few scenes from the morning:
