Day 44: Saginaw, MI

I didn’t get very far today: maybe eight or nine miles from one end of Saginaw to the other. But today wasn’t about the miles. It was about the stories.

I had an event lined up at the Saginaw Public Library — my first opportunity to spin yarns since that campfire session back in Ontario. It went well. So well, in fact, that I sort of checked out for the rest of the day. You know how it goes when you hit something just right — something you’ve been working on for a long time — and you get such a rush of good feeling that everything after that feels like a lull? Well, that was today. So not much to say, except …

I had a good day.

Well Abner, we all live for those fleeting moments of joy/synchronicity and it sounds like you found one yesterday. Thanks for sharing the moment and reminding me that those moments are out there (or in here?). Happy trails!
